Weeknote #36

🎶 It’s Chriiiistmaaaaas! 🎶

• Blocked Nick’s new hat and the ribbing has opened up beautifully

• Finished the sleeves on my “bougie Monday sweater”

  • Discovered that the two skeins of Manos del Uraguay Alegria yarn from the same dye lot look very different - one is much bolder colours with a lot of blue and purple sections, the other is much more muted and more pink-leaning

• Caked up and cast on the two skeins of sock yarn from Adventures in Yarncraft for my Oslo hat - both are in the colourway “Forest” but one is on the tweedy base

• Nick bought me some Christmas flowers <3

• Baked the traditional Christmas chocolate mousse

• Tried making tablet for the second time - the first time since acquiring a suitably sized pot for the boiling

  • It’s delicious and incredibly moreish but I need to boil it for just a few minutes longer in future so it sets a little harder

• Chose paint colours for our spare room so we can start the painting!

  • We’ve got the first coat on the ceiling and are planning to get the room finished by the time we’re back to work on Tuesday

• So many wonderful gifts from family including yarn for projects, stitch holder cords, point protectors, coffee beans, and a new project bag!
