Weeknote #35
A festive gift exchange with my friends resulted in me getting the prize no one else wanted - we did a white elephant exchange where gifts could be “stolen” up to twice and I ended up with the giant, stuffed pug that no one else wanted
I went to a ringing all comers session in Battersea and had a fun time ringing to Queens and back on some new bells with different people
Nick and I were spontaneously in charge of the mulled wine for the carol service at our local church since the chap who usually does it had covid - 4.5L of mulled wine was consumed within 20 minutes so I guess we must’ve done a good job!
I rang from rounds to Queens, Kings, then reverse rounds on 6 bells this week which was a real achievement
Our spare room was replastered this week so we need to choose the colours for starting painting next week.
I’ve been making solid progress on my yarn advent calendar jumper which I’m calling my “Jane Eyre jumper”
I’ve joined on Day 5’s yarn but I think this is going to take a long time to finish
Nick and I watched Spirited which is becoming a Christmas tradition - such a great film and a wonderful evening
I bought myself new Lucy & Yak dungarees as a little Christmas present to myself. I’ve had my eye on the teal cordouroy original dungarees for months now and really love how comfy they are. I think they look great too.
Asda decided not to send us a chicken or any potatoes in our Christmas delivery so Nick had to dash to Sainsburys managing to grab the last chicken they had so that we’ll still be able to have a Christmas roast
