Weeknote #45
Started off my break between jobs with a holiday to north Wales
Met the breeder we’re hoping to get a puppy from and got to spend some time with her current litter who are all heading off to their new homes in the next couple of weeks!
The puppies were adorable but all incredibly chompy and very incontinent!
Hopefully there’ll be a puppy for us later this year
We spent Sunday doing a 5h30, 12km hike in Snowdonia which included 2 peaks, lots of time in the clouds, some stunning views and an incredibly hairy descent down a snowy and icy scramble. That final descent left us so exhausted that we decided not to attempt Tryfan as planned at the end and headed back to the car.
The next day we took a trip into Conwy where I saw the UK’s smallest house and had a delicious pub lunch
Our Airbnb had a log burner which we made the most of
The Caban Cafe over the road did wonderful coffee
After leaving Wales, we stayed with a friend in Oxford overnight
On the drive down we stopped off at Upton House to have a look around at the artwork and gardens
I’ve been busy knitting this week and finished my second Selbu mitten! The pair are now blocking… just in time for the weather to warm up
