Weeknote #41
Our National Trust car sticker arrived!
Made some gluten free blinis for the first time. The room wasn’t quite warm enough for them to prove fully but there were still great and made enough to feed a small army!
Rang at my local church which has much lighter bells than I’m learning on
Called us to and from Queens on 6 bells from the treble
Rang to and from Kings through Queens on 6 bells - I was bell 3 so took over leading for a bit in the middle!
Dinner at Mestizo, an authentic Mexican restaurant near Warren Street in the city, with some friends. The food there is always incredible and we practically rolled home.
Our “bulb lasagnes” have their first daffodils getting ready to flower. We can’t wait to have flowers in those pots for the next few months
I’ve joined on day 10 of my advent yarn to the Jane Eyre jumper’s body which is starting to look a little more eclectic and stripey than I anticipated but it’s going to come out so comfy and cosy
Attended my last company meeting at my current job. They host these quarterly so this was my final one as my last day is now in just 3 weeks!
The yokes of the Moby Sweater (men’s) that I’m working on are very nearly finished. I’ve discovered the back contracted by ~1/2” in the time it’s taken me to do the shoulders and front so I’m extending both front and back by 6 more rows before joining for the underarm.
I think I might block out the yokes after I’ve done a couple of full body rounds to make sure I’m happy with the fit and length before getting too much further
