Weeknote #42

  • I drove to Lincoln and back solo on Sunday so I think it’s safe to say I’m driving again!

  • At ringing practice, I rang on bell 5 to Kings from rounds which included taking over leading at the end. I also lead from the treble for called changes on 8 bells for the first time which was good fun.

  • I’ve caught a cold from my partner so spent the last few days too ill to do much - even too unwell for knitting!

  • Blocked the Moby Sweater (man) that I’m making once I’d done a few rows after joining for the body so I can check fit before getting too deep into it

  • A new book has arrived ahead of my 2 week gap in employment at the end of the month. It’s the Selbu Mittens book by Anne Bårdsgård and I’m planning to attempt making my first colourwork mitten (really, my first colourwork anything!) during my break. The yarn I’ve chosen to use is the Excelana North DK from Susan Crawford Vintage in the colourways Snowdrop and Heliotrope.
