Weeknote #29
Visited friends and their 14 week old puppy in Bath for the weekend
Trip to Teahouse Emporium for some more coffee beans
Showed Nick around my old university city including the Royal Crescent
Mandatory trip to Wool Bath where I bought far more than I intended to but thankfully was slightly reigned in by Nick!
Brunch in Sweet Little Things for delicious gluten free pancakes
Dinner in Pintxo for tapas
Sadly missed out on a visit to A Yarn Story as they were closed on Sunday but I’ll be back I’m sure!
A new cast on of a Hermione’s Everyday Sock with the Lyra yarn from Birdstreet Yarn that I bought in Oxford back in January as an easy project to travel with - see my Ravelry page for details and pattern.
Wool Bath purchases:
A Zauberball in durch die Blume (2079)
A skein of Manos del Uruguay Alegria in Locura Fluo - I’m making my new Bougie Monday sweater holding this with a lace weight and really loving it so can only imagine how lovely a pair of socks will be in it!
A skein of Dyebath Delisock in Tick Tock (chosen by Nick)
A skein of The Croft Shetland Tweed in Tangwick (chosen by Nick)
Addi Unicorn 2.5mm circular needles
Addi CraSyTrio 2.25mm metal needles
While I bought a lot of sock yarn this weekend, half is for a couple of pairs of socks for Nick and I got some metal sock needles to try since I find my beloved KnitPro Symfonie needles are very bendy at the small diameters which makes me nervous they’ll snap in my hands mid-sock! I’ve so far been trying out the CraSyTrio this week and I’m getting used to them quicker than I thought I would!
I’ve started watching Only Murders in the Building this week and by episode 3 I was hooked - I can’t stop watching!
Made it to a zumba class on Wednesday evening which is always a great time
Trialling a new sleep routine of waking up at 7:30am every morning rather than getting up different times depending on whether I’m in the office or working from home
Afternoons are hard and tiring so far but I’m hoping that’ll get easier as time goes on
