Weeknote #30
Last Friday evening I saw the final show of Maisie Peters’ The Good Witch tour
It was an incredible gig - I sang my heart out along with all my favourite songs and unexpectedly tapped into something deep inside me while enjoying Blonde and Lost The Breakup live
As a final show surprise, Maisie brought out Ed Sheeran and they dueted Lego House which was amazing. I was a huge Ed Sheeran fan as a teen but never thought I’d see him perform his older stuff live so it was such a great experience
On the way home from the gig, I popped into my local chippy for a portion of chips and was inexplicably given a whole, deep fried potato for free in addition to my chips - very confused and I didn’t eat it in the end
I finished knitting the main body of a baby snood and blocked it before seaming up the loop and adding the border - very happy with the basket weave pattern I’ve made
Started working on a corded petticoat over the weekend - managed to get about 60% of the way through the machine sewing/cord insertion and it’s already impressively stiff
Bought supplies to try making a reuseable fabric advent calendar
Made a delicious lasagne with Nick
My yarn advent calendar from Adventures in Yarncraft arrived! It’s so tempting to open it before December but I’m doing my absolute best to resist
I’ve already selected a pattern that I’d like to make with it which is rather ambitious: the Birch Pullover by Andrea Mowry which is a fingering weight fisherman’s rib pattern but I think the final result would be beautiful
Spent 2 days cat sitting for Hamish again and got a full work from home day of cuddles on the sofa which he spent 3 hours of which napping tucked into my side
I worked from our head office one day this week and spotted Jonathan Ross and his daughter, Honey, in our cafe as they were in to record a podcast episode
Feel like I’m coming down with a cold which has drained me of a lot of energy this week
