Weeknote #31
After being struck down by a cold last week, this will be another 2-in-1 weeknotes:
I made a reuseable advent calendar for my boyfriend which I’ll fill with chocolates for him to enjoy this December
It’s my first attempt at quilting anything so the backing isn’t the most neat but I’m really happy with how it’s turned out!
A trip to Oxford to visit friends resulted in a trip to the Oxford Yarn Store for some new sock making supplies and yarn for a new hat
When visiting The Woolhound in Oxford’s Covered Market, I saw the Forest colourway of Adventures in Yarncraft’s sock yarn but didn’t buy it… two weeks on and that yarn has been living rent free in my brain so a friend has picked it up for me and I’m planning to make a Hipster Hat by holding a strand each of the colourway in the tweed and plain sock yarns
I’m enjoying the metal needles that I’ve been trying for sock knitting so picked up some metal circulars for hat knitting to try
A morning coffee catch up with a friend turned into a whole morning and lunch event with so much to chat about
Kids’ snoods are off the needles and ready to block
Second heel has been turned on my latest socks
I was presented with my Bell Handling Level 1 certificate at ringing practice this week
